I’m not sure if I can afford the trip, but I really want to go. What can I do?
The Reconnect JA team is dedicated to making travelling to Jamaica as accessible as possible. This is why we have opted for an all-inclusive approach to our volunteering trip. You pay one flat rate for all your necessities and you don’t have to worry about anything else… other than spending money.
Despite our best efforts to make the trip as affordable as possible, our team is aware that the trip is still financially inaccessible for many young people. That is why Reconnect JA is continuing to work hard to find and secure external funding to reduce the overall costs of the trip and make it accessible for all. Unfortunately we will not know if we have been successful in securing funding until later in the year. But we assure you, that for those who have already paid (in full or through the payment plan), you will be giving a partial refund of the difference. Whilst for those, who are yet to secure their space, this reduction will act as the perfect opportunity to do so.
Beyond external funding, we are dedicated to supporting current students and recent alumni secure funding through their universities. We hope by support you communicate with your university, we will be able to partially finance the trip through your university.
So, if you are interested in joining the Back ah Yaad Giveback this December, but you are unable to meet the financial requirements, please find in the registration form at the top of the page. This will allow us to keep you updated, match you to applicable funding and
